Napa Cabbage and Shallot Slaw

I was introduced to coleslaw back in 2013 and I hated it at first, although through the years I’ve grown quite fond of it, my husband has not. That is, until I began making my own rendition of it.

If you aren’t a coleslaw fan, give this recipe a try and I may just make a believer out of you too.

INGREDIENTS :

  • Quarter of a Napa Cabbage head, sliced thin.
  • 1 Shallot, sliced thin.
  • 2 TB (Tablespoons) Mayonnaise.
  • Juice of 1 Lemon.
  • Salt and Pepper to taste.
  • Pinch of Sugar.
  • 2-3 TB grated Parmesan Cheese.

STEPS :

  1. Slice your 1/4 head of Napa Cabbage. Slice your shallot thin as well. Add both to your salad bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper, pinch of sugar and grated Parmesan and give it a good stir.
  3. Let sit 5-10 minutes and enjoy!

This slaw is especially good on carnitas tacos, BBQ and baked chicken filets!
